I love sunsets and sunrises. The colors are bright and brilliant casting interesting shadows over the landscape. The shapes against the colors make such a contrast that can't be missed.
I chose this scene because it reminded me of riding horse as a kid and of one of my favorite TV shows "Heartland". Laugh all you want, my sister got me hooked!
I grew up having horses because it was my sister who was the true horse girl. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have learned how to ride at such a young age and join the neighborhood kids and their horses on rides. Living in the country definitely has its perks. And riding horse through the woods or racing down the roads were some of them. There is nothing like letting a horse run at break neck speed! You can feel the power underneath as their hooves hit the ground. Such an amazing feeling. I haven't realized how much I have missed those moments till recently.
I haven't lived in the country since high school, which now has been several years (maybe more!) ago. My art seems to be slowly reminding me of happy memories and of things I'd like to return to someday. One of the many benefits of art!
