Everyday we are swamped with news all over the world and it can be very overwhelming. Especially when something so big as Hurricane Harvey. I don't know about you, but when something like this happens I always wonder, "What can I do?" Everyone has their own strengths and resources and we need all of them to get through a disaster. Some people are builders, movers, rescuers, givers and prayers.
I sometimes get discouraged with myself when I am unable to help in a big way like donate thousands of dollars, physically be there to help hand out food, water and supplies or be brave enough to rescue someone. But I feel God tugging at my heart, that even if I can give a little, it can still have a big effect. Which is why I have decided to send 20% of my proceeds to Convoy for Hope on Saturday from the Good Earth Co-Op Art Fair.
Convoy for Hope has been sending down trucks of supplies and food to those affected by Harvey. You can learn more about Convoy for Hope on their website or make your own donations: https://www.convoyofhope.org/about/
What are your strengths and resources? Let's work together and make a difference!
